Timeline

The 24-hour residency rule is the only timing constraint. Submit paperwork on arrival; the license is issued within 24-48 hours. Sandals, Beaches, and most major resorts (Couples, Iberostar) include the license fee in their free or near-free wedding packages with qualifying room blocks.

Marriage license fee is roughly $100 USD. All-inclusive resorts that bundle wedding packages typically include this in the base wedding price (often free with a 6-7 night room block of 10+ rooms). Optional officiant or church-ceremony fees range $50-$150 additional.

Already married? Symbolic ceremony option

Jamaica's low cost and absence of apostille requirement make legal marriage here genuinely easy. Symbolic ceremonies are still common for couples who legalized at home and want the resort-included ceremony for guests.
